The oval hall is naturally the fulcrum of the Villa Saporiti. It occupies the central part of the rear area of the building and opens onto the small lakeside garden with large doors. All the architectural features of neoclassicism are noted: from the windows divided by corinthian fluted columns, one goes up to decorative elements of classical subject, medallions depicting illustrious men (including some Visconti’s family) supported by female figures. The ceiling decorations have been made in such a way that gradually decreasing in size upwards they increase the sense of breadth of the hall.
Worthy of note are the two clocks with statues of divinities that dominate the doors that lead into the other rooms, as if to signify the fleetingness of time.
