Nell’ottocento la villa diventa proprietà del pronipote del primissimo marchese Trotti, Lodovico (omonimo del primo marchese). Egli entra nell’esercito imperiale nel 1823 diventando capitano degli ulani (lancieri a cavallo), ma dopo pochi anni abbandona la carriera militare, contro la volontà del padre, che per questo lo disereda.
Nel 1838 sposa Sofia, figlia di Alessandro Manzoni, da cui ha quattro figli.
Nel 1848 si arruola nella cavalleria lombarda dove con il grado di maggiore partecipa alla guerra d’indipendenza.
Dopo la sconfitta di Novara si ritira a Cassolnovo, nella casa del cognato Peppino Arconati, dove morirà nel 1856 affidando i figli alle sorelle Costanza e Margherita ed ai rispettivi mariti.
In the nineteenth century the villa became the property of the great-grandson of the very first Marquis Trotti, Lodovico (namesake of the first Marquis). He enters the Imperial Army in 1823, becoming captain of the Lancers on horseback, but after a few years left the military career, against the wishes of his father, that we would disinherit.
In 1838 he married Sofia, daughter of Alessandro Manzoni, which has four children.
In 1848 he enlisted in the cavalry Lombard where with the rank of major part in the war of independence.
After the defeat at Novara he retires at Cassolnovo, in the house of Peppino Arconati, where he died in 1856, entrusting their children to the sisters Constanza and Margherita and their respective husbands.
