Percorrendo la strada Regina, all’altezza del ponte sul torrente Bolvedro, si intravede una maestosa torre che sembra appartenere ad una castello. Si tratta invece di Villa Pessina, costruita intorno agli anni venti dalla stessa impresa che aveva realizzato Villa La Gaeta che si trova pochi chilometri più a nord nella frazione di Acquaseria.
La villa fu commissionata dalla famiglia Pessina, ma non si hanno notizie di chi sia il progettista che ha riutilizzato gli stessi elementi della Gaeta. Per questo motivo è nota una lunga causa legale sul “plagio“, anche se non vi sono notizie documentarie certe.
In realtà le ville non sono identiche per gli elementi decorativi, anche se al primo colpo d’occhio potrebbe sembrare.
Along the Regina road, at the bridge over the stream Bolvedro, we see a majestic tower that seems to belong to a castle. Instead, it is Villa Pessina, built in the twenties by the same company that had built Villa La Gaeta that lies a few kilometers further north in the village of Acquaseria.
The villa was commissioned by Pessina family, but there is no news of who the designer who reused the same elements of Gaeta. For this reason it is known a long legal case on the “plagiarism”, although there is no definite news documentary. In fact the villas are not identical to the decorative elements, although at first glance it might seem.
