Procedendo da Como in direzione Bellagio, si giunge a Lezzeno dove si trova la famosa Villa Lucertola. La villa è situata in un luogo incantevole del lago ma anche molto suggestivo. Si tratta della costiera dei sassi Grosgalli, uno dei punti più selvaggi del Lario quasi deserto, con pareti a strapiombo e gole impressionanti. Le scogliere dei Grosgalli possono essere gustate appieno solamente dal lago, con le loro erosioni e meandri in cui si addentrano ombre e specchi d’acqua.
A poca distanza dalla Villa si trovava la Grotta Azzurra, conosciuta anche come grotta dei Bulbari o dei Carpi dal nome dei pesci che si rifugiano. Un tempo era accessibile in barca e al suo interno vi si potevano ammirare dei bellissimi effetti di luce, oggi a causa di parziali crolli delle pareti della grotta ricca di stalattiti e stalagmiti, non è più visitabile.
Secondo un’antica leggenda in questi luoghi solitari e selvaggi si radunavano maghi e streghe, ed è forse questo il motivo per cui esiste ancora il misterioso Ponte del Diavolo.
Proceeding from Como towards Bellagio, you reach Lezzeno where the famous Villa Lucertola. The villa is situated in a lovely spot of the lake but also very impressive. This is the coast of Grosgalli stones, one of the wildest parts of the almost deserted Lario, with sheer cliffs and impressive gorges. The cliffs of Grosgalli can be enjoyed fully only from the lake, with their erosion and meanders in which penetrate the shadows and pools of water.
Not far from the Villa was the Grotta Azzurra, also known as the cave of Bulbari or Carpi from the name of the fish that take refuge. It was once accessible by boat and inside there you could see the beautiful effects of light, now home of partial collapses of the walls of the cave full of stalactites and stalagmites, it is no longer open.
According to an ancient legend in these solitary and wild places they gathered witches and wizards, and perhaps this is why there is still the mysterious Devil’s Bridge.
