Su di una piccola villetta di proprietà dei Barbò, conti e feudatari di Pumenega dal 1625, l’ingegnere Enrico Musa volle costruire la sua dimora. Il progetto fu affidato all’architetto milanese Cesare Mazzocchi, che seguendo il gusto dell’epoca, scelse per uno stile liberty. I lavori iniziarono nel 1905, ma negli anni a seguire la villetta subì delle modifiche strutturali: la modifica più significativa fu quella tra il 1915 e il 1917, sempre su progetto del Mazzocchi, nel quale la villa fu ampliata.
Negli anni Cinquanta, dopo la morte dell’ingegner Musa che avvenne il 1 giugno 1944, lo stile liberty della villa fu di molto semplificato nella facciata e nelle finestre che furono contornate da stipiti di marmo verde.
On a small house owned by Barbò, counts and lords of Pumenega from 1625, the engineer Enrico Musa wanted to build his home. The project was entrusted to Cesare Mazzocchi, who according to the taste of the time, chose a style liberty. The work began in 1905, but in the following years the villa underwent structural changes. The most significant change was that between 1915 and 1917, always on the project Mazzocchi, in which the villa was enlarged.
In the fifties, after the death of engineer Musa which occurred 1 June 1944, the Art Nouveau style of the villa was much simplified in the facade and windows were surrounded by green marble jambs.
