Villa di Delizia nel 1858 divenne proprietà della famosa cantante lirica Luigia Ponti. Fu un vero prodigio per il mondo della lirica, infatti a soli 11 anni venne ammessa al Conservatorio di Milano e fu anche una delle alunne più meritevoli del suo corso. La sua bravura e la sua grande professionalità, le permisero di entrare nella meta più ambita da ogni cantante: il Teatro della Scala. Luigia era ammirata da tutti anche se in realtà il suo nome era fittizio, in realtà di cognome faceva Bolza, ma dovette nascondere questa parentela perché il padre era stato persecutore di tutti i patrioti milanesi e lombardi per il periodo della Restaurazione Austriaca del 1815 alle Cinque Giornate di Milano del 1848. Infatti il conte Bolza era l’uomo più detestato di Milano. Nonostante queste origini Luigia seppe distinguersi e affrontare una brillante carriera nel mondo della lirica che la vide esibirsi anche nei più importanti teatri italiani ed europei.

It was a real miracle for the world of opera, in fact only 11 years was admitted to the Conservatory of Milan and was also one of the most deserving pupils in his class. Luigia was admired by everyone even though in reality his name was fictitious, actually surname Bolza did, but he had to hide this relationship because her father had been a persecutor of all patriots in Milan and Lombardy for the period of the Restoration in 1815 to the Austrian Five days of Milan in 1848. In fact, the Count Bolza was the most hated man in Milan. Despite these origins Louise learned to stand and face a brilliant career in the world of opera that saw her perform well in the most important Italian and European theaters.
