La villa fu costruita nel 1852 su progetto dall’architetto Clericetti per incarico di Bianca Bignami Cabrini, nota patriota del Risorgimento.
La villa è circondata da un vasto parco romantico all’inglese con alberi ad alto fusto e sorge a fianco della foce del torrente Breggia. Questa incantevole atmosfera fa risaltare gli intonaci rosati della grande villa che, se si ammira dal lago, si staglia nettamente dal contesto.
L’edificio passò in eredità all’onorevole Ugo Dozzio, parlamentare italiano a cavallo del ’900, che ebbe più volte ospite l’avvocato milanese Giuseppe De Capitani, assertore del più puro liberalismo.
La villa è tutt’ora di proprietà dei discendenti Dozzio, che mantengono questa elegante dimora con ogni attenzione.
The villa was built in 1852 and designed by architect Clericetti on behalf of the Bianca Bignami Cabrini, famous patriot of the Risorgimento.
The villa is surrounded by a vast romantic english park with tall trees and it is located next to the mouth of the river Breggia. This charming atmosphere brings out the rose plaster of large villa, if you admire the lake, stands out clearly from the context.
The building was inherited by Mr Ugo Dozzio, Italian parliamentarian at the turn of ‘900, which had repeatedly visiting the Milanese lawyer Giuseppe De Capitani, advocate of pure liberalism.
The house is still owned by the descendants Dozzio, who maintain this elegant residence with every attention.
