The current villa is set on an old house of the ‘700. Almost changed radically in its symmetry in early ‘800 by Count Sormani, they wanted to give the house a strong connection with nature. They were also created new greenhouses, stables and armory.
In ‘900 for about thirty years, the villa was owned by the Draghi family that called the villa “ai Cedri” for the plants in the garden. During this period, they were housed in the villa numerous characters of Italian history including the statesman Alcide De Gasperi.
In 1994 the villa was bought by the Guarisco family owners of the namesake Textiles Company. Even these owners have renovated the villa preserving the charm of its history both inside and in harmony with the landscape.
